Jerry Tian

A Rhythm for Business and Music

Jerry’s musical story began with in 2015 with the renowned Dr. Olga Chichova, who helped him take his piano skills to a whole new level.

A Consistent Winner

Jerry soon became a familiar face at music festivals across the region. He earned numerous awards and scholarships at:

  • The Peel Music Festival

  • The Rotary Burlington Music Festival

  • The North York Music Festival

  • The Kiwanis Music Festival

His hard work led to big results on the provincial and national stages. In 2017, he won first place at the OMFA provincial competition, followed by a second-place win in 2018. That same year, he traveled to the Canadian National Competition, where he placed third in the country for his age group.

Performing with Heart

Jerry loves to share his music with the community. He has performed at beautiful venues like the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts, the Mississauga Living Arts Centre, and the Brampton Rose Theatre.

But for Jerry, music is also about giving back. He spent much of his time volunteering, performing piano for patients in hospitals and residents in retirement homes to brighten their day.

From the Music to the Office

This same drive he learnt studying mysic, helped him succeed in his studies. Jerry attended the Lazaridis School of Business & Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University, where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration. Today, he is bringing his dedication and focus to his professional career, working with the team at RBC.
