Artem Kopylov began his journey at the piano with Dr. Olga Chichova, when he was just four years old. Since those early days, his life has been a whirlwind of music, travel, and world-class performances.
A Global Musical Education
Artem’s talent has taken him to the finest academies across the globe. He is a Fellow at the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein and has studied with world-renowned professors. From the Eppan Music Academy in Italy to the Orford Academy in Canada, Artem has learned from the very best in Russia, Germany, and the Netherlands.
A World-Class Performer
Artem’s trophy shelf is quite full! He is a laureate of more than 30 national and international competitions. His music has been heard in countries all over the map, including:
Canada and the USA
Italy and France
Germany and Denmark
Russia and Mexico
He made his professional debut with an orchestra at just nine years old. Since then, he has performed on the world’s most famous stages, including Carnegie Hall and the Steinway & Sons Performance Centre in New York, as well as the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow.
A Familiar Face in the Media
In Canada, Artem has become a household name for piano fans. He participated in the CBC Piano Talent Show in Montreal and CBC Piano Hero in Toronto. His story has been featured in newspapers across Canada, Italy, and Russia, celebrating his growth as a Young Steinway Artist.
The Next Movement
Artem has already reached the highest levels of the Royal Conservatory of Music, finishing his performance level with First Class Honors with Distinction.
Today, he is continuing his studies at the University of Toronto Bachelor of Music in Performance. While he is already an accomplished pianist, Artem looks forward to a future that includes not just performance, but also composition and conducting.
