A Journey from the Piano Performance to New York University (NYU)
It all started when Alexander Ning was just six years old. Sitting at a piano that seemed much bigger than he was, he began to discover the magic of music. What started as simple scales quickly turned into a lifelong passion for performance.
Taking the World Stage
By 2014, Alexander’s hard work began to take him across the globe. He traveled to Italy, where he won a first-place scholarship at the Il Pozzolino International Piano Competition. This was just the beginning of a whirlwind few years.
From there, the stages only got bigger:
2015: He stood in the spotlight at Carnegie Hall in New York after winning the American Protégé competition.
2016: He returned home to win first place in the Canadian Music Competition.
2017: Music took him to Vienna, Austria, for the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition. Later that year, listeners across Ontario heard him play live on 96.3 FM Classical Radio.
Striving for Excellence
Alexander didn’t stop there. He continued to challenge himself, consistently earning top marks. In 2018 and 2019, he stayed at the top of his game, scoring as high as 95% in national competitions.
Even as he grew older, he found new ways to share his talent. In 2022, he took home second place in the Canadian Music Competition, this time performing a beautiful duet.
A New Chapter
Today, Alexander is bringing that same dedication and discipline to the world of business. He is currently an honor student at NYU’s Stern School of Business.
But his ambition doesn’t stop at the classroom. Alexander is also a self-made entrepreneur, serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Slat Entertainment Ltd. He is a true leader who takes full responsibility for his path, even using his own business success to fund his education.
Whether he is at the keyboard or in the boardroom, Alexander’s drive to succeed continues to inspire everyone around him.
